Arrabbiata is a tomato sauce made with red chili peppers.
The sauce originates from the Lazio region, around Rome. Arrabbiata literally means "angry“ in Italian; as a reference to the spiciness of the chilli peppers. Arrabbiata sauce is usually served with short type pasta such as penne.
