1kg of Shiitake mushrooms.
Recipe 1: Shiitake Mushroom and Noodle Soup
Utensils:
Large pot
Wooden spoon
Knife and cutting board
Ingredients:
200g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
4 cups vegetable stock
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece ginger, grated
2 nests of noodles
1 spring onion, sliced for garnish
Instructions:
In a large pot, bring vegetable stock to a boil.
Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sliced shiitake mushrooms.
Simmer for 10 minutes, then add the noodles and cook according to package instructions.
Serve hot, garnished with spring onion.
Recipe 2: Stir-Fried Shiitake Mushrooms with Bok Choy
Utensils:
Wok or large pan
Spatula
Knife and cutting board
Ingredients:
200g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
1 head bok choy, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
Heat sesame oil in a wok over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Add sliced shiitake mushrooms and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes.
Stir in bok choy and soy sauce, cooking until the bok choy wilts.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
